Enterprise Cloud Bridge
Enterprise cloud bridge (ECB) solution enables you to adopt hybrid cloud model to derive value from data using the Infoworks DF in cloud, while still maintaining the standards of security as on-premise systems.

ECB enables the Infoworks DF users on cloud to,
- ingest data from the on-premise resources like files and relational databases in the flow as pre-existing sources,
- store the resources securely in cloud storage and HDFS to use downstream in pipelines, cubes and orchestrator workflows.
The ECB Agent software runs on the on-premise system that has direct access to data and connects to major cloud storage services where the data is securely staged before ingestion on the Infoworks DF cloud installations. These operations are performed in the background as the user creates and configures sources on the Infoworks DF cloud installation using the UI.
Prerequisites
- Source data files to be ingested must be stored on a disk in the same system where the ECB Agent is installed.
- Infoworks Cloud must be able to communicate with the ECB Agent over HTTP.
- User installing and configuring ECB must have admin privileges for the Infoworks DF and the machine where the ECB Agent will be installed.
Requirements
Infoworks DF: 2.6.0 or higher versions
Infoworks Agent Hardware Requirements
- RAM: Minimum 2 GB; recommended 16 GB
- Disk: Based on the size of data being ingested. Minimum 1 GB; recommended 50 GB dedicated SSD.
- Network access for outbound connections to cloud storage: GCS, S3 or Azure Blob Store. For network inbound from the Infoworks DF Cloud Installation, see the ports below. The ECB Agent currently supports only single node operation. For scaling, you can use multiple single-node agents where each agent has a profile on the cloud installation. Different agents can be assigned to different sources.
- Default Ports on ECB Agent: Job service - 8090
- Java 8 must be installed on the agent.
- ECB Agent readily ships Postgres compiled for linux x64 distributions.
